Homeowners Insurance

Protect your house, your belongings, and yourself from liability.

The largest thing you own, and usually the policy least shopped. We fix the second part.

In Minnesota

Hail and wind are the claims that actually happen here, and how your policy handles roof damage matters enormously — a replacement-cost roof and an actual-cash-value one can differ by tens of thousands of dollars on the same claim.

How we can help

Send us the declarations page from your current policy and we can quote straight from it — almost everything we need is printed on it.

  • Read what you have now and tell you plainly what your roof, water-backup and liability limits actually mean.
  • Quote it across several carriers rather than one.
  • Price it with and without the auto bundle, so you can see the real difference instead of taking our word for it.
  • Handle the switch, the cancellation, and the paperwork your mortgage company will ask for.

You’ll work directly with Spencer. The person who quotes it is the person who answers when you call about it later.

We’ll come back to you quickly, and it costs you nothing either way.

Send us what you have

Fill in what you know. Anything you leave blank, we’ll sort out on the phone. It goes straight to Spencer, not to a call center.

Send us your declarations page

That’s the summary page listing your dwelling coverage, deductibles and limits. Attach it and we can skip almost every question below — a photo from your phone is fine.

PDF or a photo. JPG and PNG photos are resized for you; PDFs and iPhone HEIC files need to be under 12 MB.

Choosing a file sends it to our office straight away — nowhere else — and we delete it after 90 days. Privacy Policy.

Rather send it from your phone? Text or email it instead — that works just as well, and Spencer reads the quote off it either way.

Step 1 of 3

About the PropertyEverything on this step is optional. Fill in what you know.

Only if it is not where you live — a cabin, a rental, a second home.

Roughly when it was last replaced. This is one of the biggest factors in your rate.

Your answers are not sent until the last step.

More about Homeowners Insurance

A standard policy has four moving parts: the structure itself, your personal belongings, your liability if someone is injured on your property, and the cost of living somewhere else while your home is repaired. Most people have never read which limits they carry on each. We go through them with you in plain language.

  • Dwelling and structure coverage
  • Personal property protection
  • Personal liability coverage
  • Loss of use / additional living expenses
  • Replacement cost vs. actual cash value options
  • Scheduled coverage for jewelry, firearms, and collectibles
  • Separate flood and umbrella policies available

Hail and wind are the claims that actually happen here, and how your policy handles roof damage matters enormously — a replacement-cost roof endorsement and an actual-cash-value one can differ by tens of thousands of dollars on the same claim. Ice dams and frozen pipes are also worth confirming. Standard policies do not include flood coverage anywhere in the country; that is a separate policy if you need it.

If you carry auto with the same carrier, the combined discount is usually the single biggest lever on your total premium. It is worth quoting both together even if you only came here for one.
