Auto Insurance

Coverage for your vehicles, your drivers, and your liability on the road.

Shopped on price alone, which is how people end up underinsured.

In Minnesota

Minnesota is a no-fault state — your own policy pays your medical bills after an accident regardless of who caused it, through Personal Injury Protection. State-minimum liability is 30/60/10, and ten thousand does not replace a modern vehicle.

How we can help

Send us the declarations page from your current policy — the VINs, the drivers and the limits are all already on it.

  • Check your liability, uninsured-motorist and PIP limits against what you actually have to protect.
  • Quote across several carriers and find the discounts you are not currently getting.
  • Price the home-and-auto bundle at the same time, since it is usually the largest discount available on either policy.
  • Start the new policy and cancel the old one so there is no gap in between.

You’ll work directly with Spencer. The person who quotes it is the person who answers when you call about it later.

We’ll come back to you quickly, and it costs you nothing either way.

Send us what you have

Fill in what you know. Anything you leave blank, we’ll sort out on the phone. It goes straight to Spencer, not to a call center.

Send us your declarations page

That’s the summary page listing your drivers, vehicles and limits. Attach it and we can skip almost every question below — a photo from your phone is fine.

PDF or a photo. JPG and PNG photos are resized for you; PDFs and iPhone HEIC files need to be under 12 MB.

Choosing a file sends it to our office straight away — nowhere else — and we delete it after 90 days. Privacy Policy.

Rather send it from your phone? Text or email it instead — that works just as well, and Spencer reads the quote off it either way.

Step 1 of 5

Drivers in the HouseholdEverything on this step is optional. Fill in what you know.

Carriers rate from the license, so they need a name, a date of birth, a gender and a license number for each person. Everyone in the household has to be listed — including anyone insured somewhere else.

As it appears on the license — carriers rate from this.

For any driver above. Being upfront here keeps the quote accurate — it shows up on the report either way.

Your answers are not sent until the last step.

More about Auto Insurance

That means your own policy pays your medical bills after an accident regardless of who caused it, through Personal Injury Protection. Minnesota requires a minimum of $40,000 in PIP per person. It also means the liability limits you carry are about protecting your assets from the other party, not your own care.

  • Liability coverage (bodily injury and property damage)
  • Personal Injury Protection (PIP)
  • Uninsured and underinsured motorist
  • Collision and comprehensive
  • Roadside assistance and towing
  • Rental car reimbursement
  • Boats, ATVs, snowmobiles, motorcycles and RVs
  • Umbrella / excess liability

State minimum liability is 30/60/10 — thirty thousand per person for injuries, sixty per accident, ten for property damage. Ten thousand does not replace a modern vehicle. If you have savings, a home, or future income worth protecting, minimum limits are a gamble rather than a plan. Uninsured and underinsured motorist coverage is the other one worth a hard look.

Bundling with home is usually the largest. Beyond that: multi-vehicle, clean driving record, paid-in-full, and telematics programs if you are comfortable with them. Good student discounts are meaningful if you have a teenage driver, which is otherwise the single most expensive thing that can happen to an auto policy.
